About Me

🌟 Who I Am

Hi, I’m Laura – also known online as GlitchyButCute. I’m a disabled and neurodivergent content creator, accessibility advocate, and cosy gamer based in the UK. After a life-changing stroke in early 2024, I’ve been navigating the world with new challenges: right-sided weakness, seizures, cognitive glitches, speech difficulties, and chronic fatigue.

I use a powerchair (and sometimes a rollator) to get around, rely on assistive tech to stay independent, and I’m passionate about making digital and physical spaces more accessible for everyone.

I’m also queer (femme, bi, and ace), audhd (autistic + ADHD), and a big fan of pink sparkly chaos – hence the name.

💬 What I Talk About

GlitchyButCute is where I share the messy, joyful, and very real sides of disabled life – through blogs, vlogs, and social media. My content includes:

  • 🧠 Life after stroke – navigating recovery, seizures, mobility, and identity
  • 🧾 Benefits, work & care systems – breaking down PIP, LCWRA, and staying employed with access needs
  • 🏠 Smart home tech for spoonies – how I use automation to stay independent and safe
  • 🕹️ Cosy games, nostalgia & joy – from Funko Pops to 90s cartoons to accessible gaming
  • 📣 Disability & neurodivergence advocacy – speaking up, pushing for inclusion, and creating space for others to do the same

Whether it’s a cheeky TikTok, a heartfelt blog post, or an accessibility review, everything I create is rooted in lived experience, honesty, and a healthy dose of glitter.

🧷 Advocacy & Inclusion Work

I’m the co-chair of my workplace’s neurodiversity employee network, and I regularly collaborate on projects that promote accessibility, inclusive design, and better support for disabled and neurodivergent people.

I offer:

  • 🎤 Talks & Panels – on disability, stroke recovery, neurodivergence, and accessible tech
  • 🧰 Workshops & Consulting – helping brands and orgs improve their accessibility and inclusion practices
  • 🎯 Lived Experience Insight – for product design, service feedback, campaigns, and more

If you’re working on something that could benefit from an accessibility-first lens, I’d love to hear from you.

🤝 Want to Work With Me?

I’m open to brand partnerships, reviews, speaking opportunities, and collaborations that align with my values of accessibility, authenticity, and soft chaos. If you’re a company looking to do better – or just do something cute and inclusive – let’s chat.
